In order to make the right decisions on the choice of the appropriate restoration method, adapted specifically for each peatland, assessments of the degradation stage of these habitats were undertaken. On the occasion, by the specialists in the field - employees of the project partner National Agency for Protected Natural Areas - field inspections were identified as the main factors that led to the disturbance of these fragile ecosystems. Based on the real and current situations found on the ground, the concrete measures needed to remove the pressures and threats were proposed in this project proposal.
