Field activities No. 3 and 4

In the framework of the project "Rehabilitation of wetlands and peatlands in the Center Region" – RePeat, colleagues from the Research and Development Institute for Hunting and Mountain Resources Miercurea Ciuc together with members of the National Agency for Protected Natural Areas Harghita and Covasna territorial service have started the rehabilitation works of peatlands in the area of Fântâna Brazilor at the peatlands: Mlaștina Luc, Ruc – Fântâna Brazilor, Mlaștina Podul de Hârtie, Mlaștina Ramura Corundului, Mlaștina Fântâna Brazilor.

They carried out assessment activities, maintenance of the peatland water regime by building dams, cleaning weirs, removing invasive species and erecting information boards.
